Hitting the Accelerator
I like fast cars (and I cannot lie).
But you can’t always maintain a fast speed no matter what the car is capable of. Sometimes traffic slows you down, or you have to make a tight turn, or the traffic lights just aren’t in your favor. Driving is variable and so is success.
I’m at the point now where I’ve decided to hit the accelerator, to put my next plan in motion and I’m doing it with energy and a sense of urgency because the road is clear.
I have seen the variability of success over the years. Sometimes the economy is against you as in the Great Recession of 2008 (when my net worth took a nearly 17% hit). Other times the recovery is quick (2009 saw a nearly 25% increase).
When it comes to owning or starting a business the bureaucracy slows you down, hiring slows you down, firing slows you down but you have to keep the pedal down and weave in and out of these traffic jams.
Are you ready to get behind the wheel, stand on the accelerator, and go fast? Share your story in the comments and if I can help in any way, let me know.
